Stephen Gosling

Originally from Sheffield, England, Stephen Gosling received his B.M., M.M., and D.M.A. from The Juilliard School, where he was awarded the Mennin Prize for Excellence and Leadership in Music and the Sony Elevated Standards Fellowship. He is a member of the New York New Music Ensemble and Talea Ensemble, as well as a pianist at New York City Ballet. He has performed with the New York Philharmonic, Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Orpheus, Bang on a Can All-Stars, Orchestra of St. Luke’s, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, The Knights, Eighth Blackbird, American Composers Orchestra, and Chamber Orchestra of Europe, among others, and at the Lincoln Center, Mostly Mozart, Ojai, June in Buffalo, and Santa Fe Chamber Music festivals. He is a longtime collaborator with John Zorn and a multitude of other artists including John Psathas, Peter Ablinger, Georges Aperghis, Pierre Boulez, Elliott Carter, Gheorghe Costinescu, George Crumb, Brian Ferneyhough, Roger Reynolds, Poul Ruders, and Charles Wuorinen. Gosling has made over 80 recordings.
