Christiana Cole is known for originating the role of Lauren Hunter in the world premiere of the musical The Devil Wears Prada, with original score by Sir Elton John and Shaina Taub. Cole’s unique cross-genre voice can be heard on composer Alex Weston’s soundtrack of the hit Sundance film The Farewell. They are a studio singer for Philip Glass, a backup singer for TONY award-winner Joanna Gleason, and they were the cantor at Divine Mercy Parish in Brooklyn for eight years. In addition to performing, Cole writes musicals and teaches voice and writing. They are currently writing the book, lyrics, and music for Tribe Without a God, an original Neolithic musical comedy about a runaway human sacrifice. Cole studied opera at the Manhattan School of Music.
